Acetic Anhydride is a colorless liquid with a characteristic sharp odor. It is used in making plastics, drugs, dyes, perfumes, explosives and aspirin.  Acetic Anhydride is on the Hazardous Substance List because it is regulated by OSHA and cited by ACGIH, DOT, NIOSH, NFPA and EPA.
