Barnacle Buster Concentrate is a specialized marine descaling and marine-growth removal chemical designed for seawater-cooled equipment and systems. It is used to dissolve barnacles, zebra mussels, calcium and lime scale, rust, and other mineral deposits that can restrict water flow and reduce cooling efficiency.

The product is designed to be recirculated through compatible seawater cooling systems, often minimizing the need for extensive dismantling. The manufacturer states that many applications can be completed in approximately four hours.
Important Safety Information
Barnacle Buster Concentrate is an acidic and corrosive product. Its SDS identifies phosphoric acid as the principal listed component and classifies the concentrate as capable of causing severe skin burns and serious eye damage. Appropriate chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, and face protection should therefore be used.
The manufacturer also advises that zinc anodes should be removed before cleaning or replaced afterward, and that galvanized metal, zinc, tin, and certain aluminum oxides should be monitored during treatment
